Tuscan herb spaghetti bolonese

One of the best things about making pasta dishes at home is just how easy it is. If you are looking for a really simple way to add another level of flavour to your next homemade pasta sauce, give this recipe for Tuscan Herb bolognese sauce a try. It is flavourful and herbaceous with all of the classical flavour notes of traditional tuscan dishes.

Ingredients

1/4 cup Tuscan Herb olive oil

1 white onion, finely chopped.

3 cloves garlic, minced.

1 tsp sea salt

1/2 tsp ground black pepper.

1/4 cup neapolitan herb balsamic vinegar

1 lb lean ground beef

1 (28) oz can diced tomatoes

3 tbs tomato paste

1 1/2 tbs dried parsley

1 tbs dried basil

1/2 tsp thyme


1. In a large saucepan heat the oil and sauté onions and garlic until soft and translucent.

2. Add salt and pepper. Continue to cook until onions begin to caramelize.

3. Pour in balsamic vinegar and stir until balsamic begins to thicken.

4. Add in ground beef and brown evenly.

5. Pour in diced tomatoes, and tomato paste and stir until combined.

6. Add remaining herbs and seasoning and mix well again.

7. Reduce heat and continue to simmer while you prepare your preferred pasta. Stirring occasionally.


Serve over a bed of pasta, and garnish with grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil!
